Wanderhearth
A downloadable game for Windows
Pack the car. Drive through the portal. Camp in a world that is not ours.
Wanderhearth is a cozy first-person camping game about a photographer who travels to other worlds. You prepare at home, load your car yourself, drive to a portal, pick a spot for your camp, and take photos you can sell to a magazine editor.
This is an early build. The home, the garage, the car, camping and photography are playable. Parts of the planned story and some worlds are not in yet.
Language note: all in-game text is in Korean right now. There is no English translation yet.
What you can do in this build
- Shop and prepare at home. Order camping gear and groceries from the computer in your bedroom. Deliveries take time, so plan ahead. Sleep to pass days, and carry things one by one from the storage racks.
- Load the car like a puzzle. The car trunk has real 3D space and a weight limit. Stack the cooler, the tent and your camera gear so that everything fits and the doors can close.
- Drive. Take the car out of the garage and into the portal. On the other side, drive slowly and look for a flat spot to camp. There is no damage and no failing.
- Set up camp. Unload in reverse order, put up a tent and a tarp, set a table and a fire pit, hang string lights, and watch the light change from day to night.
- Take photos. Photos are scored on subject, composition, light, moment and story. Sell them to the editor, or take on a request, to earn money for better gear.
- Fly a drone from camp for a view from above.
- Visit five worlds: a glowing lake, sky islands, a giant tree forest, a land under two moons and a snowfield with an aurora.
- Develop your own film. Film comes in rolls of 36 shots and you develop it at home in a small darkroom.
- Come back and do it again. Re-pack, return through the portal, put your gear away and plan the next trip. Each trip lasts one night.

Known limits
- Text is in Korean only.
- Not every world and story chapter is finished. The story ends early in the current build.
- Some objects are simple placeholders, and every car is the same SUV in a different size and color.
- Performance on different PCs has not been tested widely. The download is big (about 3.7 GB), and the first start can take a while.
- Expect bugs. Saves from older versions may not carry over.
